Chopped remains, suspected to be of an animal, were found in an open field in Delhi’s Burari area, police said on Thursday.

A CISF jawan allegedly shot himself dead at Gate number 5 of the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata on Thursday. As the regular routine work was being conducted at the airport in the morning, the jawans were alerted by the sound of a gunshot. When the other CISF jawans rushed to the spot they saw their colleague lying in a pool of blood.

A former wrestler was arrested along with his aide for smuggling ‘Malana Cream’ from Malana in Himachal Pradesh and selling the same in Delhi-NCR and other parts of the country, the police said on Wednesday. The accused wrestler has been identified as Hanumante (30), a resident of Civil Lines, while his associate has been identified as Adnan Ahmed (32), a resident of Jamia Nagar.

The Karnataka Lokayukta was conducting simultaneous raids at 58 locations across the state against government officers on Wednesday. According to sources, a team of more than 130 officers, including 13 SPs, 12 Deputy SPs, and 25 police inspectors, was conducting the raids. 

A man hit and killed his mother by hitting her with a LPG cylinder after she refused to let him consume liquor in the house. The incident took place in Aashiana area in Lucknow on Sunday but police registered an FIR on Tuesday under 304 (culpable homicide) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) IPC.

A 27-year-old woman died after her throat was allegedly slit by some sharp object allegedly by her husband and in-laws in outer Delhi's Alipur area, an official said on Tuesday. The official said that they have apprehended the accused identified as Manjeet (30), his father Bhim (52), his mother Meena (48), and brother Manish (27).

A man and his wife were axed to death in a village in Hathras district, following a minor dispute during Holi earlier in the day. According to reports, Bobby and his wife Sunita were sleeping outside the house in their farm, in village Pora of Sikandrarau Kotwali when one Nannu and his two sons, Rajkumar and Ramu, came into the shed with axes and sticks.

A NEET aspirant from Uttar Pradesh committed suicide in Rajasthan's Kota, confirmed officials on Tuesday. Uruj, 20, was a resident of the Samdhan village of Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj and was living in Kota for the last one year. He was preparing for NEET from a coaching institute.
