May 10, 2024

Chandigarh, May 10

The Punjab Government and the Election Commission have provided all facilities to Amritpal Singh to file his nomination for the Lok Sabha elections. On this reply of the Punjab government, the High Court has disposed of the petition. In fact, Amritpal has announced to contest as an independent candidate from Lok Sabha constituency Khadur Sahib.

The Punjab government told the High Court that the Superintendent of Dibrugarh Jail will complete the entire process of nomination of Amritpal Singh in the jail itself. Amritpal Singh's nomination papers will be completed on Monday. From this it is clear that Amritpal Singh will have to file nomination papers from jail itself. So he will not be given 7 days parole.
