Gurgaon, June 20
Gurgaon Police has busted a call center that was cheating unemployed people of lakhs of rupees in the name of getting jobs abroad. The accused used to take a salary of Rs 18,000 from the fake call center in exchange for duping lakhs of rupees from the unemployed. Police have arrested eight people including four girls in this case.
The accused have been identified as Delhi residents Narendra Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Kajal, Ranjan Kumar, Jind resident Vikrant Singh, Azamgarh resident Garima Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh resident Agnes Franesh and Ganganagar Rajasthan resident Sahil Poonia. During preliminary interrogation, the accused told that he used to run a website in the name of International Job Solution and used to contact job applicants through the profiles on Shine.com.
They used to get them to transfer two to three lakh rupees to a bank account by luring them with the promise of job abroad. This fake bank account was provided to him by one of his friends. The accused were running this fraud call center in Palam Vihar area for about six months. In return for cheating people, he used to get a monthly salary of Rs 18 thousand. At present, Gurgaon Police has recovered 10 mobiles and 4 laptops from the possession of the accused. Interrogation of the accused is going on.
