Desh Bhagat University Student Won Silver Medal in Asian Championship

 

Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh (DBU) is proud to announce that Ankit, a 3rd semester student in BPSE, has secured a remarkable achievement by winning the silver medal in the prestigious Asian Championship in wrestling.
The Asian Championship, held in Oman Jordan from June 22 to 30, 2024 witnessed fierce competition among athletes from across the continent. Despite the challenges, Ankit 63 kg weight under 23 category demonstrated exceptional skill, determination and sportsmanship throughout the competition, ultimately clinching the second-place position. Ankit's journey to the podium is a testament to their dedication to both academics and sports. Balancing rigorous university studies with intense training schedules is no easy feat and his success underscores the university's commitment to fostering well-rounded individuals who excel in all aspects of life. "We are immensely proud of Ankit's achievement," said Dr Zora Singh, Chancellor and Dr Tajinder Kaur Pro-Chancellor of DBU.
