Employability Skills Training Programme at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University

Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University Fatehgarh Sahib organised an Employability Skills Training Programme aimed at enhancing placement prospects and fostering entrepreneurship among final year girls students. The programme is a part of Mahindra & Mahindra's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative 'Mahindra Pride Classroom and Naandi Foundation for the final year students of the Department of Education.Fifty enthusiasts from the Department of Education participated in this week-long training programme. Organized by the Department of Training and Placement in collaboration with Career Counseling Cell of the University, this event focusses on equipping students with essential skills crucial for their professional growth and entrepreneurial ventures. The Employability Skills Training Programme covers a wide range of topics including resume writing, interview preparation, communication skills, teamwork, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills. This holistic approach aims to develop a mindset for innovation and self-employment among the participants. Dr. Kamaljit Kaur, Incharge of Training and Placement, while emphasising the importance of this initiative shared that this training programme aligns perfectly with our commitment to empower the students, by providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their careers and entrepreneurial pursuits. Vice Chancellor Dr. Pritpal Singh also highlighted the significance of such programmes, he said that the University is dedicated to the holistic development of our students. This training programme is a step towards ensuring that the students are well-prepared to face the challenges of the job market and are equipped to become successful entrepreneurs. The event was graced by Deepika Chawla from Mahindra & Mahindra and the Naandi Foundation.
