August 21, 2024

Chandigarh, 21 August

The impact of the doctors' strike is now visible at the New OPD. However, only older follow-up patients are being seen after one week. Now the number of old patients has reduced compared to earlier. Like every day, resident doctors were sitting inside the tent erected in front of Bhargava Auditorium in PGI on Tuesday morning, but the scene was different. Doctors were doing checkup in the tent after calling the patients. There, Sector-32 GMCH has also stopped online registration. The PGI doctors have taken a new path in the protest, from Wednesday all the doctors are going to see the patients in the tent. They have decided that the strike will continue on Wednesday, but the patients will be seen in the tent only. Doctors from all departments will bring equipment with them. Emergency services have not been closed yet.
