“Swami Bhitiharananda Inspires DBU Freshers with Teachings of Swami Vivekananda on Value Education

Swami Bhitiharananda, a respected monk of the Ramakrishna Math, recently visited Desh Bhagat University to deliver an expert talk on value education to the fresher students. Drawing inspiration from the teachings and life of Swami Vivekananda, Swami Bhitiharananda shared profound insights into the importance of integrating spirituality with human life. He emphasized the timeless lessons of social work, selfless service and the principles of living a life guided by higher ideals. Swami Bhitiharananda’s discourse covered various aspects of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings, such as the significance of character-building, the power of self-confidence, and the role of education in shaping an individual’s life. He highlighted how Swami ji’s thoughts on spirituality are not merely abstract concepts but are deeply connected to practical aspects of human life, including social responsibility and personal growth.The audience, comprising newly admitted students, expressed that the talk was an eye-opener, providing them with great learning and motivation as they begin their academic journey at Desh Bhagat University.Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice President of Desh Bhagat University, remarked on the event: “Swami Bhitiharananda’s insights have offered our students a roadmap to a life filled with purpose and meaning. His words have truly inspired the freshers to not only excel academically but also to grow as individuals who contribute positively to society.” Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, also appreciated Swami Bhitiharananda’s contribution, stating, “We are honored to have hosted Swami Bhitiharananda.
