Engineering Technology and Computing in collaboration with the Department of Business Management and Commerce, Desh Bhagat University ,Mandi Gobindgarh organised National Space Day. The event commenced with an inspiring address by Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice President and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Technology and Computing. In his speech, Dr. Sadawarti highlighted the significance of celebrating Space Day, emphasizing the importance of space exploration in advancing technology, fostering innovation, and understanding our universe. He motivated students to engage with the field of space science, as it plays a critical role in shaping the future, driving scientific discoveries, and addressing global challenges such as climate change, communication, and resource management.Following the speech, a Quiz competition was held, with four students from each team participating. Jatan, Amandeep, Simran, and Preet from the Computer Science Engineering department secured the first prize. The second prize was awarded to Adarsh, Sukhmani, Harneed Kaur, and Mehnaz from the Computer Science Applications department. After the Quiz, a Declamation competition took place. Athar S. Kandakai, an M.Tech Electrical Engineering student, won the first prize. The second prize was shared by Mohd. Sakib and Himansi from the Bachelor of Business Administration program.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Khushboo Bansal, Deputy Director, who expressed gratitude to all participants and organizers for their contributions to the successful event.
