Chandigarh/1st, September.
The General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee, former Union Minister and Sirsa MP Kumari Selja said that Congress will fight strongly on all 90 seats and will fight to win every seat. BJP is nervous about the elections, so it postponed the date of voting. Changing the date will not change the results. Whatever the public has decided will happen to it. She said that only one person will get the ticket, everyone will work together for his victory.
She said that MP Kangana Ranaut does not make statements on her own; she says what she is made to say. If she were to give statements on her own, she would not be following the party's discipline. If that were the case, BJP would not have to say that what Kangana said is not the party's statement. Speaking to the media about contesting the assembly elections, Kumari Selja said that even before the Lok Sabha elections, she had expressed her desire to contest the assembly elections, but the final decision will be made by the high command. If the high command orders it, she will surely contest. In response to a question, She said that the worst habit of the BJP is that they make a U-turn quickly. The BJP is unsettled and afraid regarding the elections, which is why they want to change the voting date.
However, changing the date will not change the BJP's fate because the people have already decided to remove BJP from power and bring Congress to power. Regarding who will be the Congress candidate from Uklana, Kumari Selja said that this decision will also be made by the high command. She said that Uklana is like her own home, and people have expectations from her; she respects the sentiments of the people.
On the question of who will be the face of the Congress CM, she said that the decision on who will be CM will also be made by the high command, and whoever they choose will become the CM. On the question of the BJP's tweet and then deleting it, she said that the BJP should first look at itself. Whatever work has been done for the SC and BC communities has been done by the Congress and will continue to be done by the Congress.
She said that Rahul Gandhi demands that the government conduct a caste census, and if the government does not do this, it will be done when the Congress government comes to power. On Kangana Ranaut's statement regarding farmers, she reiterated that MP Kangana Ranaut does not make statements on her own; she says what she is made to say. If she were to give statements on her own, she would not be following the party's discipline.
If that were the case, BJP would not have to say that what Kangana said is not the party's statement. She said that the reality is that BJP has been misleading the public and continues to do so. Regarding the alliance between INLD and BSP, as well as JJP and AAP, she said that they did not have any impact before, and they will not have any impact in the upcoming elections either.
People have already chosen Congress as an alternative. Kumari Selja said that whoever gets the ticket will be the Congress candidate, and everyone will work together to ensure their victory. Regarding the delay in announcing the candidates, she said that meetings are ongoing, and the names of the candidates will be announced soon. Our workers are strong at the grassroots level.
