Shambhu border of Haryana-Punjab will not open yet. A hearing on this matter was held in the Supreme Court on Monday. In which the SC has formed the High Power Committee. The Supreme Court said that we are forming a committee, but are not deciding on any issue. This authority is being given to the committee. Officials of Punjab and Haryana are also included in this committee.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court also advised that this matter should not be politicized. The issues are very sensitive, so a balanced approach should be taken.
In the last two hearings, the Supreme Court had asked to open the Shambhu border partially, i.e. one lane. Farmers' meetings were also held with Punjab and Haryana officials in this matter, but they remained inconclusive.
Haryana Police said that farmers should go to Delhi, but should not take tractors.
