Chandigarh/Sirsa, 2nd, September

The General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee, former Union Minister, and MP from Sirsa, Kumari Selja rejected all the claims made by the BJP government in the state. She said that in the last ten years, the BJP has not developed the state but rather destroyed it. Small and large cities in every district of the state are struggling with issues like traffic jams, waterlogging, sewer blockages or overflows, drinking water crises, and street light problems. The big cities come to a standstill because of traffic jams, while life seems to float in waterlogged areas. The people of the state are grappling with basic amenities, and if the BJP calls this development, the people of the state do not want such development. The BJP is full of empty promises and false declarations. The people who have been oppressed and exploited by the BJP for ten years will show them the door out of power this time and bring Congress to power. Residents are troubled searching for development, roads are in disrepair, and law and order have deteriorated.

In a statement released to the media, Kumari Selja said that since the BJP government took charge, it has been inciting the public to fight amongst themselves in the name of religion and caste. In the name of development, the BJP has pushed the state further back. This government has been misleading the public by renaming the schemes implemented during the Congress regime. If the BJP government had done anything, the farmers of the country would not be sitting on the roads, and employees would not be protesting for their rights. Everywhere you look, you see protests, which clearly shows what the government has done. Kumari Selja said that today, the people of the state are asking questions from the BJP government, but this government will only respond when it has done something. In the ten years, the BJP government has done nothing except make false declarations. The CM could not even implement his own announcements. Today, the state is struggling with issues like traffic jams, waterlogging, sewer blockages or overflows, drinking water crises, and street light problems. Providing basic amenities is the responsibility of the government, but the government has not fulfilled any of its responsibilities. False declarations will not fill the stomachs of the people. She further said, Go to any city, and all you see are traffic jams. The traffic police are only given the task of issuing challans, and they have nothing to do with clearing traffic jams. In the districts included in NCR, the traffic situation is very bad, and even ambulances do not have a way to pass. Take Faridabad, which has earned the tag of a smart city; no matter which route you take, you will see long traffic jams everywhere. There are 25,000 small and large industrial units where 800,000 workers are employed, and there are over 50,000 e-rickshaws and 50,000 heavy goods vehicles, yet no policy has been made to deal with traffic jams. Waterlogging has also become a major problem in this metropolis. During the rainy season, the city looks like a pond. A religious city like Kaithal is struggling with traffic jams. It is hard to understand whether this government came to improve Kaithal or to make it worse. On Karnal Road, Ambala Road, Dhand Road, Jakhauli Adda, Mata Gate, Pehowa Chowk, Chhotu Ram Chowk, Old Bus Stand, Hostel Road, Amargarh Colony, Hindu Girls School Road, Kabutar Chowk, Bhagat Singh Chowk, Chandana Gate, outside the New Bus Stand, Park Road, Siwan Gate, and even in the Mini Secretariat, there have been problems due to waterlogging.

Kumari Selja said that the situation in Gurugram has been made such that it will never be free from traffic jams. Jams can be seen at most intersections, such as Badkhal Chowk, Old Faridabad Chowk, Ajronda Chowk, and Bata Chowk. The problem of waterlogging is like an indelible mark on Gurugram's fate. During the rains, waterlogging is visible at most places in Gurugram. The government has left the people there at the mercy of God. Whether you go to Rewari, Sonipat, Karnal, Ambala, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Yamunanagar, Panipat, or Panchkula, people are seen crying over issues like traffic jams, waterlogging, sewer blockages or overflows, drinking water crises, and street light problems. The situation in Sirsa is even worse. The roads are broken and full of potholes. A little rain, and Sirsa looks like a lake. In every city, people are tired of searching for development, the roads are in disrepair, and all you see are traffic jams. She said that now the people of the state will not fall for the BJP government's ploys. In this assembly election, the people will vote to settle accounts for the last ten years and show the BJP the door out of power. They will bring the Congress government to power because they know that only Congress can look after their well-being.
