Chandigarh/Sirsa, 4th, September.
The General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee, former Union Minister, and MP from Sirsa, Kumari Selja said that the final decision on ticket distribution is made by the party high command. Kumari Selja said that the decision regarding the Chief Minister's post is also made by the high command, which can appoint anyone from the 36 communities, including someone from the Dalit community, as the CM. Haryana has suffered under the misgovernance of the BJP for ten years, and the state has lagged behind in many ways. With the Congress government coming to power, our focus will be on advancing the state. We need to ensure that the youth of Haryana get jobs, employment, and good education, and these are the areas we need to focus on in the coming time. Within the BJP, everyone is entangled over ticket distribution; the Chief Minister and the BJP state president are not on the same page.
During a conversation with the media, Kumari Selja said that the hype created by the BJP during the Lok Sabha elections has faded away, and the public has deflated their 400-plus slogan. The public has witnessed the deceit and hollow promises made over the past ten years in Haryana, and even the BJP has realized that the people have understood their tactics, leading to the replacement of the Chief Minister, but this won’t change anything. Now we are hearing differing statements from the Chief Minister and the BJP state president. She said that the final decision on the Chief Minister's name will be made by the high command, which can choose anyone from the 36 communities, including someone from the Dalit community. The same applies to ticket distribution. Kumari Selja said that the Congress party is fully prepared and united for the elections, and the people are also ready to bring Congress to power. She has expressed her desire to contest the assembly elections, but the final decision will be made by the high command, which will decide whether she will contest or not. She said that the public has observed the BJP's style of functioning for ten years, and nothing substantial has been done on the ground. In any case, the BJP has no connection with the people, and whenever they speak, it is full of lies. Their statements and promises were hollow, and now the BJP leaders are changing their tones, with everyone saying something different.
Kumari Selja said that the Congress system ensures that the final decision is made by the high command, whether it’s about ticket distribution or the Chief Minister. The Congress screening committee is working on ticket distribution, and our Central Election Committee is working with all factors in mind. There are 90 seats in the state, and decisions will be made after thorough deliberation. She said that there's no need to explain what has happened during the ten years of BJP rule; the public is aware of everything. The Congress must now focus on the entire state of Haryana and its residents for the next ten years. The BJP's ten-year misrule has caused Haryana to fall behind, and we need to move forward from that. We need to focus on ensuring jobs, employment, and quality education for the youth of Haryana. Kumari Selja said that a wave of Congress is sweeping through the state, and the Congress government will come to power because the public, fed up with the BJP, has decided to hand over power to Congress and is now just waiting for the elections.
