Chandigarh/6th, September.
The General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee, former Union Minister, and MP from Sirsa, Kumari Selja said that seeing the Assembly elections, the BJP government is trying to mislead the people of the state. BJP has deceived the public for 10 years and looted the state thoroughly. What major project has been undertaken in the state in these 10 years? The double-engine government should explain which projects from the Center have been brought to Haryana. BJP wants to eradicate poverty by distributing 5 kg of ration to the poor, but instead of ration, they should talk about employment for them. The Central government, which talks about providing housing for all, has not only failed to provide homes but is also snatching away the shelters of those living in slums. They promised 100-square-yard plots but are providing only 30-square-yard plots, for which they are even charging money. In the Assembly elections, the public will give BJP a befitting reply for ignoring the state. They will oust the saffron party from power.
In a statement released to the media, Kumari Selja said that the people of Haryana had chosen the BJP with great hopes, giving them another chance to improve, but this party has deceived and looted the people. No work was done on employment. Not a single appointment was made for the 200,000 vacant posts in government departments. The government never even thought about fulfilling the backlog. Drunk on power, the BJP forgot the promises it made to the public. The PM promised "House for All," ensuring that by 2022 everyone would have a roof over their head. Did everyone get a house? Was everyone's dream of owning a home fulfilled? During Congress' tenure, they had started giving 100-square-yard plots, but the BJP government stopped that and now gives 30-square-yard plots, charging money for them. Kumari Selja said that during Congress rule, a plan to build 1100 houses in Sirsa was approved, with the foundation laid, and funds were released in 2013. However, the BJP government did not let that plan materialize. The homes of people living in slums are being snatched away or demolished.
She said that the government's claim of development, asking what major project had been established in these ten years or what projects had been brought from the Center. The projects approved during Congress rule saw no progress. The double-engine government should explain how many youths were given employment and what kind of employment. No work has been done in the direction of providing jobs. The unemployed youth are wandering directionless, and unemployment is fueling the drug problem. She said the people of Haryana want change. They have been suffering for the past 10 years and are now looking towards Congress. The state is witnessing a wave of Congress, and the public will form a Congress government. In these Assembly elections, the people will give BJP a fitting reply for ignoring the state. Kumari Selja said that the real face of BJP has been exposed before everyone. BJP's ground has become barren. Despite ruling for ten years, there is chaos within the party, and they are struggling to find candidates. They are forced to bring in candidates from outside, showing that BJP has already conceded defeat. Many of BJP’s senior leaders are leaving the party, seeking refuge in other parties. In Karnal, from where the Chief Minister won with a large margin, he is now being made to contest from Ladwa because his position in Karnal is not good. It's not just Karnal; BJP is in a pitiful state across the entire state.
