Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) has taken major action against the driver and the female conductor in the case of driving a bus by hanging a person at the gate. The department has suspended the bus driver and conductor. An investigation has been started in this regard. If both cannot give a satisfactory answer within three months, action will be taken to remove them from the job.
The incident is on October 7 but the video of the incident was revealed two days ago. The bus belonged to CTU Depot No. 2, which was going from Hallomajra to Tribune Chowk and meanwhile a person was hanging from the gate of the bus. CTU officials identified the driver and conductor of the bus.
Calling it gross negligence, both have been suspended for three months each. Meanwhile, both of them will be given an opportunity to be heard by the CTU. If both cannot give a satisfactory answer, then the process of dismissal will also be initiated. However, both the employees are outsourced.
