The Department of Political Science, in collaboration with the Department of Education organized a five-day workshop on political consciousness. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from fifty students of both the departments. The workshop aimed to foster a deeper understanding of political systems, governance, policy-making, human rights, and the role of media in shaping political discourse.
Ramandeep Kaur, In-Charge of the Department of Political Science, delivered an insightful session on different political systems and their Impact on governance and society. She explored various models of governance and discussed how they shape public administration and societal outcomes. Navneet Kaur, Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science, also provided a detailed overview of the Policy-Making Process and the Role of Government, offering students a comprehensive view of policy formation, implemention and evaluation.Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Assistant Professor from A S College Khanna, engaged participants in a thought-provoking discussion on contemporary challenges to human rights. He highlights issues such as inequality, freedom of expression, and global human rights movements. Dr. Jamsheed Ali Khan, Professor of Political Science at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University led a session on Research Methodology in Social Science. He offered practical guidance on how to approach research in political science and social sciences more broadly. His talk equipped the students with valuable tools for academic inquiry.
