A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Thaltej area of Ahmedabad, where an eight-year-old girl allegedly died of a heart attack in school. The incident took place on Friday morning, January 10, when a third-grade student started complaining of chest pain after reaching school. According to the school administration, the girl sat on a chair as soon as she came to school and her condition started deteriorating. After this, the school staff gave her first aid, but the ambulance arrived late.
In such a situation, the school staff took her to the nearby Zydus Hospital, where she was declared dead.
''Suddenly deteriorated health''
School principal, Sharmishtha Sinha, said that it was seen in the CCTV footage that the student started feeling uncomfortable shortly after reaching school. When her condition deteriorated, she sat on the chair and was feeling difficulty in breathing. According to preliminary reports, the cause of the girl's death was cardiac arrest. However, her family says that she never faced any serious health problems, only common childhood illnesses like cold, cough and fever.
Waiting for postmortem report
The deceased girl was a resident of Mumbai. She was living with her grandparents in Ahmedabad. The school administration immediately informed her parents. The police have started investigating the incident and are trying to find out the cause of death after conducting a postmortem of the body.
