Delhi/Chandigarh, January 17
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, On Friday, led a massive roadshow and campaigned for Patel Nagar Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Pravesh Ratan. The roadshow witnessed an overwhelming turnout, showcasing the support of the people of Patel Nagar towards the AAP.
Addressing the gathering, CM Bhagwant Mann expressed his gratitude for the warm reception, saying, “I am deeply thankful for the love and respect you have showered on me. Whenever I visit Patel Nagar, you greet me with unparalleled enthusiasm. This time, too, I am confident you will break your own record on February 5.”
Bhagwant Mann emphasized his commitment to campaigning for AAP's honest and people-centric politics. Highlighting the values of AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, Mann stated, “Arvind Kejriwal left a prestigious job as an Income Tax Commissioner to serve the nation through honest politics. His integrity is a threat to traditional parties who prioritize their power over people’s welfare. Similarly, when I was a comedy king, they praised me, but now they fear me because we challenge their corrupt practices.”
The Punjab CM also highlighted AAP’s governance model in Punjab as a testament to its promises, free electricity for 90% of households in Punjab, our government establishment of Mohalla Clinics and we are transforming government schools. Mann said that the AAP government in Punjab launched the Road Safety Force named SSF (Sadak Surakheya Force) which has already saved over 1,500 lives, in less than a year, by responding to accidents within five minutes, ensuring immediate medical care in nearby hospitals without financial concerns. Mann said, “Such initiatives reflect our clean intentions. We are in politics to serve, not to earn money.”
Slamming opposition parties, Mann said, “Congress will maintain its record of zero seats. The BJP is spreading lies, but people know the truth. On February 5, vote only for AAP to ensure honest and progressive governance.”
The Chief Minister concluded with a rallying call for unity, stressing the beauty of India's diversity and urging the people to reject the divisive politics of hate. He said, “AAP believes in the politics of work, not hatred. Press the AAP button on February 5, and don’t even look at other buttons.”
AAP's Patel Nagar candidate Pravesh Ratan expressed confidence in the people’s support. He also thanked CM Bhagwant Mann for campaigning for him.
