The Training and Placement Cell at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University organized an industrial visit to Alpha IT Manager Services, Mohali, providing pre-final and final-year students of the Department of Computer Science with firsthand exposure to the latest advancements in IT management and emerging technologies. As part of this collaboration, an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) was signed between Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University and Alpha IT Manager Services to foster industry-academia partnerships. This MoU will enable students to benefit from internships, live projects, expert sessions, and industry-driven skill development programs, further enhancing their technical competencies and career prospects. The objective of the visit was to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industry practices by offering students a real-world understanding of software development, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity frameworks. Experts from Alpha IT Manager Services conducted interactive sessions, sharing valuable insights into current industry trends, career opportunities, and essential skill sets for aspiring IT professionals. Dr. Kamaljit Kaur, In-Charge, Training and Placement Cell, emphasized the significance of such industry-academia interactions in enhancing students’ employability and practical skills. She expressed gratitude to Alpha IT Manager Services for their warm hospitality and knowledge-sharing and highlighted how the newly signed MoU would open new avenues for students. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pritpal Singh appreciated the initiative, reaffirming the University’s commitment to equipping students with industry-relevant skills through such hands-on learning experiences. He encouraged students to make the most of these opportunities to stay ahead in the competitive tech landscape.
