Desh Bhagat University’s Men’s and Women’s Grappling teams showcased their extraordinary talent and determination at the All India Inter-University Grappling Championship held at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.The University Men’s Team secured an impressive Second Position (Runner-Up) in the competition. The team achieved this remarkable feat by winning 4 Gold, 4 Silver, and 2 Bronze Medals. The names of the victorious athletes are as follows: Gold Medalists: Ankur – 68kg (Gi), Gajender Huda – 74kg (Gi), Aman – 66kg (Gi), Sahil – 98kg (No-Gi),
Silver Medalists: Ankur – 68kg (No-Gi), Sahil – 98kg (No-Gi), Ajeet Chaudhary – 66kg (No-Gi), Vinay – 82kg (No-Gi). Bronze Medalists: Mohit – 98+kg (No-Gi), Vikram – 50kg (No-Gi). The University Women’s Grappling team also made a mark, winning 2 Gold, 1 Silver, and 1 Bronze Medal. The names of the winning women athletes are as follows: Gold Medalists: Anshika Antil – 50kg (Gi), Anshika Antil – 50kg (No-Gi), Silver Medalist: Tamanna – 62kg (No-Gi),
Bronze Medalist: Ronak Huda – 46kg (Gi).
