UNDER LEADERSHIP OF CM PUNJAB CREATES HISTORY BY GIVING 52,606 GOVERNMENT JOBS TO YOUTH IN 36 MONTHS

Ludhiana, March 19-

Achieving a new milestone in government recruitments, Punjab government led by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday created history by giving 52,606 jobs to the youth merely in 36 months of assuming the charge of office.

Addressing the gathering in a function to hand over appointment letters to 951 ETT teachers, the Chief Minister congratulated all the youth for getting these jobs thereby becoming active partners in the social and economic development of Punjab. He said that the state government is working tirelessly for the holistic development of Punjab for which young and qualified youth are required. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that for this purpose only the state government has embarked this massive recruitment drive for putting the state on a high growth trajectory.

 
The Chief Minister called upon the newly recruited teachers to act as a catalyst of the Education Revolution in the state by further improving the standard of education to benefit the common man. He envisioned that these new teachers equipped with the latest teaching practices should impart quality education to the students so that they can excel in life. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this will help in rejuvenating the entire education system of state for the well being of students with these teachers actually acting as agents of change in the education sector in the prevalent times by ensuring quality education to students.

The Chief Minister said that he is the son of a teacher and knows it well that the teachers are nation builders who groom the students for becoming officers, engineers, doctors and other leaders. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the teachers of government schools are the best as they are well qualified and capable but they were put in some non teaching work too during previous regimes. However, he said that his government has made sure that the services of teachers are utilized solely for the teaching purposes.

The Chief Minister said that earlier the schools were vacant but the water tanks in front of schools were full as the teaching aspirants climbed on them due to agitation. However, he said that his government has reversed the trend by giving jobs to the youth who are now teaching the students and contributing to the progress of the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that earlier the convent educated leaders, who were not aware of the basic realities of the state, had ignored this key sector due to which Punjab lagged behind in the path of progress.

 
The Chief Minister asked the newly recruited teachers to motivate the students for acquiring education as per their interests so that they can carve a niche for themselves. He said that the teachers must discharge their duties in a befitting manner and become role models for the pupils so that they can also excel in life. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that teachers must discharge their duty well so that people remember them till eternity for their good deeds.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government fills all the posts as soon as they are vacant in the department. He said that a foolproof mechanism has been adopted for the entire recruitment process due to which not even a single appointment out of these more than 52,000 jobs have been challenged so far in any court. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that it is a proud moment for the government of Punjab that these youth have been given government jobs completely on the basis of merit.

The Chief Minister said that it is a momentous occasion when these youth are becoming the part of the family of Punjab government. He expressed hope that these youth will become an active partner in the socio-economic development of the state by joining these respective departments. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that for the first time in the history of the state, any government has given a record number of more than 52,000 jobs to the youth in 36 months of coming into power.

The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction for him that all the jobs have been given completely on the basis of merit, san any corruption or nepotism. He said that the state government is ensuring that no one from the state migrates abroad so that dreams of our freedom fighters are fulfilled. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that due to strenuous efforts of the state government reverse migration is already being witnessed in the state and youth are returning from abroad to serve here.

The Chief Minister said that the Aam Aadmi Party will join hands with the like minded parties to vehemently oppose the BJP for using the delimitation to eliminate its political opponents. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that he will be visiting Chennai to oppose the undemocratic methodology adopted by the Union government, which raises suspicions about the intent of the BJP and its coterie. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that all the like minded parties will join hands against this repression of the Union government to muzzle democracy.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is cleaning the mess created by the previous regimes. He said that the drug mafia was patronized by the earlier governments but his government has launched a crusade against drugs. Bhagwant Singh Mann said meticulous planning has been done to wipe out the menace of drugs from the state and now war against drugs has begun in a full-fledged manner.

The Chief Minister said that apart from snapping the supply lines of drugs the state government has put the big fishes involved in this crime behind the bars. He said that apart from this due focus is being laid on the rehabilitation of the victims of drugs. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that now the property of the drug peddlers is being seized and destroyed adding that this noble cause cannot be accomplished without active public support.

On the occasion, Cabinet Ministers Harjot Singh Bains and Hardeep Singh Mundian, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora and others were also present.
