Jaswinderpal Singh, an alumnus of the Department of Mathematics at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib secured All India Rank 4 in the prestigious UPSC Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination. Jaswinderpal completed his B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics from the University and has brought laurels to his alma mater through his dedication and perseverance.The UPSC Indian Statistical Service exam is a highly competitive national-level examination conducted by the UPSC for recruitment to the Indian Statistical Service, a Group ‘A’ administrative service under Central Civil Services of the Indian Government. A special event was organised today to honor Jaswinderpal Singh. Dr. Richa Brar, Head, Department of Mathematics, warmly welcomed all the dignitaries, faculty and students to the event. She conveyed her deep sense of pride and delight at the remarkable achievement of her former student.
