Nine faculty members of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib have been conferred with the prestigious Women Achievers Award-2025 and Bio-Scientist Award-2025 by renowned industrialist Chiranjeev Singh Cheema, Director of Yaxon Biocare. Among the recipients of Women Achievers Award-2025 are Dr. Ankdeep Kaur Attwal, Coordinator of IQAC and Head of the Department of English; Dr. Kanchan Rani, Head of the Department of Commerce and Management; Dr. Richa Brar, Head of the Department of Mathematics; Dr. Harneet Billing, Head of the Department of Education; Dr. Nav Shagan Deep Kaur, Head of the Department of Sociology; Dr. Supreet Bindra, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy; and Dr. Monika Airi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology; while Dr. Rahul Badru, Head of the Department of Chemistry has been honoured with Bio-Scientist Award-2025. The recognition was bestowed upon them in appreciation of their outstanding contribution to the University's Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), and their consistent efforts in promoting academic excellence, institutional development, and student welfare, particularly among those from economically weaker sections. In his appreciation message, Chiranjeev Singh Cheema, who is also a valued member of the IQAC, acknowledged the remarkable dedication and commitment of the awardees. He stated that he has witnessed how their tireless efforts have not only uplifted the academic standards of the University but have also made a meaningful impact on society by encouraging innovation, ethical responsibility, and a culture of continuous improvement. He added that at Yaxon Biocare, individuals who exemplify excellence are celebrated, and the awardees truly embody this spirit. The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Prit Pal Singh, congratulated the honoured faculty and expressed deep appreciation for their unwavering commitment to quality and educational values. He remarked that this recognition is a testament to their hard work and determination to elevate the University’s academic reputation while ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all students. Prof. Sukhwinder Singh Billing, Dean Academic Affairs, also commended the awardees and highlighted their leadership in integrating quality enhancement mechanisms within academic processes. He acknowledged their pivotal role in creating a learner-centric and academically vibrant environment.
Director IQAC, Prof. Ramesh Arora, expressed pride in the achievements of the team and noted that the award is a well-deserved honour for their continuous efforts in promoting quality assurance and institutional development. He emphasized that the contribution of these members has been central to embedding quality practices across departments. He added that this recognition not only reflects the University's commitment to quality and academic excellence but also highlights the essential role of dedicated faculty in shaping a progressive, student-centric educational ecosystem.
