Indian Bank Ludhiana conducted a Senior Citizen’s Meet at Senior Citizen Council Hall, Model Town Extension, Ludhiana on 30.11.2024. More than 100 Senior Citizens / Pensioners attended the event. Shri Sandeep Kumar Ghosal, Field General Manager, Indian Bank Chandigarh was the Chief Guest. Shri S.S. Pangty, AGM/DZM of Zonal Office Ludhiana welcomed all the Senior Citizens present in the meet. He also informed that Indian Bank treats all senior citizens as our own family members and attach top priority in delivering customer service to them.
Shri O.P. Kalra, DGM/Zonal Manager Ludhiana addressed the Senior Citizens, appraised them about Bank’s strong financials and various products more particularly designed for Senior Citizens. Further he informed that Indian Bank is offering 0.50 % additional rate of Interest to the Senior Citizens and 0.75% to Super Senior Citizens. He also explained features of Bank’s Special Deposit Schemes IND Supreme 300 Days and IND Super 400 Days which offer high rate of interest ranging upto 7.80% and 8.05% respectively. Both these schemes are available for customers upto 31st March 2025.
The Chief Guest Shri Sandeep Kumar Ghosal, expressed happiness to be part of this programme and thanked the participants for joining the meet. He acknowledged the contribution of Senior Citizens in building the society and the nation. He also highlighted the contribution of citizens of Punjab in agriculture, manufacturing and service sectors which are major contributors for economic growth of the country. He told that as a part of special initiative our Indian Bank is conducting similar Senior Citizen’s Meets Pan India. He appraised the participants about Bank’s digital journeys/products and requested them to onboard the same to have a wonderful bankingexperience.
Mr Rohit Sadana, CM, RAC Ludhiana made presentation of bank’s various deposit products such as IB Samman, IND Pension Prime, IB Golden Ager, IND Rupee Gain etc. available for Senior Citizens wherein bank is providing additional facilities such as Free Accidental Group Life Insurance Coverage of Rs 10.00 lakhs, concession in Locker Rent/RTGS/NEFT/DD charges and Door Step Banking etc. Bank is also providing facility of submission of Annual Life Certificate though Digital mode. He further informed about rising pace of cyber crime and cautioned the participants not to click any unknown link or share OTP or credentials to unknown persons to avoid happening of cyber fraud.
On this occasion Indian Bank also organized Free Health check-up facility which was availed and appreciated by Senior Citizens. Later on Senior Citizen Council President Sh MP Gupta. Chairman Sh Satinder Mahajan thanked Indian Bank Management for the initiative and organizing such a wonderful event and also for spreading awareness about cybercrime among Senior Citizens.
