Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University Hosts National Moot Court Competition

The University School of Law at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University successfully organized the National Moot Court Competition 2025, with participation from 14 leading law schools across India. The event showcased outstanding advocacy skills, legal reasoning, and intellectual depth. The inauguration was graced by Justice Bawa Singh Walia, former Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, who emphasized the importance of justice and empathy, core values rooted in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Justice Alok Jain presided over the valedictory ceremony, applauding students' commitment and highlighting moot courts as vital platforms for building legal skills, critical thinking, and professionalism. He congratulated the winners and commended the university for its initiative. Prof. (Dr.) Amita Kaushal, Dean, noted that the competition reflected the school’s commitment to value-driven legal education. Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Prit Pal Singh praised the event as a celebration of ethical learning and holistic development. Dr. Navneet Kaur, Convener, appreciated the participating teams for their dedication and analytical rigor.
Lovely Professional University (LPU) emerged as the winner of the National Moot Court Competition 2025, securing the first position along with a cash prize of Rs. 21,000/-. Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Patiala, claimed the runner-up position, showcasing commendable advocacy and legal reasoning. Danish Tak from Dogra Law College, Jammu, was adjudged the Best Mooter and awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5,000/- for his exceptional courtroom presence and articulation. The Best Researcher Award, also carrying a prize of Rs. 5,000/-, was conferred upon Deepak Kaur from the University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh, for her in-depth legal research and clarity of thought. RGNUL, Patiala, also bagged the Best Memorial Award.
