Amitabh Bachchan shares how he dealt with the loss of a furry friend

Veteran Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, who hosts the 16th season of the quiz based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, shared how he once dealt with the loss of a beloved pet.

The upcoming episode of the show, features Ananya Vinod, a third-year Computer Science student from Bangalore, specialising in Artificial Intelligence, taking the hot seat. During the course of the episode, Big B was impressed by Ananya’s dedication to AI, a field driving the future of technology. He praised her efforts, expressing his pride in seeing young minds like hers contributing to India’s progress in cutting-edge fields.

During a playful exchange, Ananya asked Big Bif he had any pets to which the veteran actor replied by saying, “I used to have a dog, but when they pass away, it's very difficult to cope with the loss. Having more pets felt strange after that, and Jaya asked me not to get any more, as it’s disheartening when they leave us. But pets do become part of the family”.

Videos and pictures of Alia greeting the crowd have gone viral on social media. One of the clips shows Alia arriving on stage amid cheers from the crowd. She said, "Namaskara (Hello) Bengaluru. Surprise, surprise”.

She was dressed in a blue off-shoulder bodycon dress and heels. Alan opted for a grey hoodie and black pants. He also wore a mask on his face.

Bollywood star Govinda, who got injured after his gun misfired on October 1 morning, has been discharged from the hospital.

The 60-year-old actor was photographed by shutterbugs while exiting the hospital. Govinda was sitting on a wheelchair and had a cast around his leg. His wife Sunita Ahuja was seen standing next to the actor.

Upon being greeted by the shutterbugs outside the hospital, Govinda was seen with folded hands, waving and even blowing kisses at the paparazzis.

On Thursday, his wife had shared the actor's health update and had said that Govinda will soon be discharged.

As filmmaker J.P. Dutta turned 75 on Thursday, Bollywood star Sunny Deol wished the director, saying that the two have given “Hindustan its biggest war film” with “Border” and that it is time to take the legacy forward with “Border 2”.

Sunny took to Instagram, where he shared a string of pictures from the 1997 film. The photographs featured Sunny alongside Dutta.

For the caption, he wrote: “Happy 75th Birthday JP, it’s good to look back and be back! We gave Hindustan its biggest war film with Border, and now it’s time to take the legacy forward with #Border2 ! Lots of Love. God Bless! #JPDutta.”

Set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, “Border” is based on the events of the Battle of Longewala. It also stars Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, Sudesh Berry and Puneet Issar alongside a supporting cast including Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Tabu, Raakhee, Pooja Bhatt and Sharbani Mukherjee.

National Award-winning filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri on Thursday announced that his next christened “The Delhi Files - The Bengal Chapter” is all set to release on August 15, next year. He also revealed that the film will be in two parts with “The Bengal Chapter” being the first installment.

Agnihotri, who has made films such as “The Tashkent Files,” “The Kashmir Files,” and “The Vaccine War,” took to X, formerly called Twitter to make the announcement.

New details have emerged with regards to the bullet injury of Bollywood actor Govinda. The actor, who was cleaning his closet when the incident happened, suffered an injury because a small part of the lock of his gun was broken.

As per sources, the actor was set to head to Kolkata but prior to that he thought of organising his closet when the unfortunate incident happened because of the gun’s broken lock.

At the time of the incident, there were 6 bullets loaded, and one misfired into his foot after which he was immediately rushed to the hospital in Juhu. The actor’s wife, Sunita was in Kolkata at the time of the incident.

The doctors at the hospital have successfully removed the bullet from his leg, and have stated that the actor will be kept in observation for sometime before he is given a discharge.

Earlier, during the day, actress Kashmera Shah, the wife of actor Krushna Abhishek reached the Criti Care hospital to meet her father-in-law Govinda. She arrived hurriedly in her car, and refused to speak to the media considering the situation in her family. It is to be noted that Krushna and his uncle Govinda have not been on talking terms for the past few years. Kashmera’s presence in such times highlights the importance of a family in a person’s life.

Krushna Abhishek also took to his Instagram and shared a health update about Govinda, who is his maternal uncle. He wrote, “Mama is feeling better now. Thank you all for your prayers and love. Wishing him a speedy recovery. God is kind. Pls let your prayers keep pouring in”.

Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda on Tuesday was rushed to a hospital in Mumbai after sustaining an accidental bullet injury on his leg with his own revolver.

The incident took place at his residence when the actor was preparing to leave for Kolkata in the early morning hours. Meanwhile, Govinda's manager has confirmed that the bullet has been removed from the actor's leg and his condition is now stable.

Govinda ji was about to leave his residence for the airport when this accident happened,” the actor's manager Shashi Sinha said.

This year's Dadasaheb Phalke award will be given to legendary actor Mithun Chakraborty. Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced this on Monday in a post on X.

"From the streets of Kolkata to Cinematic Heights; Mithun Da’s remarkable cinematic journey inspires generations! Honoured to announce that the Dadasaheb Phalke Selection Jury has decided to award legendary actor, Sh. Mithun Chakraborty Ji for his iconic contribution to Indian Cinema," Minister Vaishnaw announced.

The Minister said the award will be presented to the veteran actor at the 70th National Film Awards ceremony on October 8.

The actor made his acting debut with the art house drama Mrigayaa (1976) by Mrinal Sen for which he won his first National Film Award for Best Actor. The film was a major box office success in the country and outside also, particularly in the then Soviet Union.
