To promote ease of doing business, Excise and Taxation Department UT, Chandigarh has introduced new excise policy to enable automatic renewal of brand/label registration of liquor in 2024-25, an official statement said. Provision was added.
According to a press release issued by the Chandigarh administration, licensees can renew their liquor labels/brands by availing the online system. which were already approved last year in auto-mode through a simple process.
Now, licensees will have the facility to submit their liquor label/brand application, along with necessary documents and fees, through the online portal with an affidavit that there has been no change in the labels of the brands applied for earlier renewal. happened
Distillery/brewery/winery brand price and label to be affixed on the bottle (front and back) and label size, color, printing, FSSAI license number, etc. It states that approval will be issued immediately on auto mode after payment of required fee.
The initiative aims to streamline and expedite the application process, reducing paperwork and eliminating the need for physical visits, making the process faster and more streamlined. By leveraging technology the Department will provide a smoother and more convenient experience to applicants while maintaining the integrity of the label registration process' self-renewal.
The Excise and Taxation Department encourages all applicants to take advantage of this streamlined process by submitting their applications online through the portal for both self-renewal and fresh registration of brands.
