The annual prize distribution function of Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi is over. The program was conducted under the chairmanship of Hon'ble Governor, Punjab and Administrator, Chandigarh, Banwari Lal Purohit. The event was held at Randhawa Auditorium, Punjab Kala Parishad Sector-16B, Chandigarh. The program started with the National Anthem.Rajeev Verma, IAS, Advisor to the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh presented the bouquet to the Governor. Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi President Madhav Kaushik welcomed the chief guest and other guests. Literary writers were honored in this program. The Governor also mentioned Hazari Prasad Dwivedi, Munshi Prem Chand, Subhadra Kumari Chauhan, Tulsidas etc. in his address.On this occasion, Dr. Vinod Kumar, Vimala Guglani, Daljit Kaur, Ananth Sharma, Rekha Mittal, Shelley Vij, Anuradha Agnihotri, Manju Malhotra, Sangita Sharma, Surinder Pal, Rajinder Kumar Soundh, Piyush Kumar, Sukhwinder Kaur, Dr. Shair Bhatti, Manpreet Singh, Jigyasa Kharbanda, Vinod Khanna, Anish Garg, Ajay Singh Rana Om Prakash Sondhi, Nirmal Jaswal, Jaswinder Sharma, Pritam Domal, Balwinder Chahal, Gurdeep Gul, Renu Bahl were honoured. Honorary Award 2024: Rajinder Kumar Kanaujia, Sumita Mishra, Pranath Pankaj, Swarajbir, Zarina Naghmi were presented with a memento by Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi. The vote of thanks was given by Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi Vice President Manmohan Singh. Subhash Bhaskar, Prem Vij, KK Sharda, Rajesh Sharma etc were also present on this occasion.
