Pedestrians on the road from Panjab University to PGI in City Beautiful face more problems due to which the UT administration has decided to construct an underpass for pedestrians from Panjab University to PGI. Although the administration had decided to build the underpass four years ago, the file has been lying in limbo for four years. Now again the UT administration has expedited the process to build an underpass from PU to PGI. The administration has invited applications for the appointment of a consultant for engineering consultancy for the underpass. In September last year, the project was sent to the Chandigarh Heritage Conservation Committee (CHCC) after some minor changes, which approved the revised design. After this, the administration is now starting further action.
