Chandigarh, July 18
The board of directors formed to take decisions on issues related to Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has not met for the last one year, due to which thousands of issues related to CHB's 70 thousand houses are hanging in the middle. This mainly includes the decision to make necessary changes in CHB houses on the Delhi pattern, while people are continuously demanding regularization of changes in flats. Seeing the demand of the people, the non-official members of the board have written to the officials of the board and demanded to call a meeting of the board of directors. According to the information received, about 70 thousand flats have been allotted by the board in the city. Out of this, about 60 thousand flats have been changed as per the need of the people, although the CHB had approved the need based changes in the year 2010 but later revised and canceled that policy several times.
