The strike that has been going on for the past 11 days in Punjab has ended today in protest against the rape and murder of a female doctor in Kolkata. This strike has been ended after the assurance of the Supreme Court. Of course, after deliberation, the doctors have returned to their work today, but they will continue their strike.
OPD and other facilities in P. G. I. Chandigarh, Patiala and Amritsar Government Medical Colleges have been restored as normal but during this time the doctors will wear black armbands and protest. Doctors have ended their strike in other government hospitals and have started work.
