In Punjab, VAT on petrol and diesel has been increased, due to which petrol has become more expensive by 61 paise and diesel by 92 paise. This decision was taken in the meeting of the Punjab Cabinet today. Apart from this, the electricity rates have been increased by the government. Up to 7 kilowatts, the cost of electricity has been increased by Rs 3 per unit. The AAP government has withdrawn the concession given during the previous government.
