Alumni of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University Gifted Saplings to Students on Teachers' Day

On the occasion of Teachers' Day 2024, the students of the Department of English of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University organized a special event where alumni expressed their gratitude to the faculty by gifting saplings to the new students. The Distinguished alumni id the Department Arshpreet Singh, Gurinder Singh, and Navdeep Kaur participated in the event, recognizing the pivotal role their teachers played in shaping their academic and professional lives. They shared that as a meaningful gesture, the alumni have gifted saplings, symbolizing the growth and nurturing that teachers provide to their students. The act of gifting plants not only signified gratitude but also highlighted a shared commitment to fostering both knowledge and environmental sustainability. The event also featured motivational speeches by Dr. Ankdeep Kaur Attwal, Coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the University, and Jaspreet Kaur, Head of the Department. They spoke about the importance of a teacher in guiding students toward success, and encouraged the faculty to continue their efforts in inspiring and supporting the next generation. This Teachers' Day celebration strengthened the bond between students, alumni and faculty, reflecting a deep sense of respect and community within the university.The students of the department  displayed their creativity and admiration for their teachers through various performances. The students enthusiastically participated by reciting poetry and speeches dedicated to teachers.
The event not only honored the teachers but also allowed the new students to connect with the  alumni. This celebration of Teachers' Day fostered a sense of community and mutual respect between students and teachers.
