The NSS unit of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, organized a one-day community service camp at Sri Dukh Nivaran Sahib, Patiala, in celebration of NSS Day and 100th Birth Anniversary of Panth Ratan Jathedar Gurcharan Singh Tohra. The camp was organised under the guidance of Ramandeep Kaur, NSS Programme Officer. She expressed her pride in the volunteers' dedication. She appreciated the energy and commitment of the students towards community welfare. Dr. Harneet Billing, NSS Programme Coordinator, praised the volunteers and said that the active participation of students in various community service initiatives, reflects the core values of the National Service Scheme (NSS). The event not only encouraged students to embrace their social responsibilities but also honored the principles of selfless service.Prof. Pritpal Singh, Vice Chancellor of the University paid tribute to Gurcharan Singh Tohra and emphasized the importance of the camp. He remarked that such events not only honours the legacy of S. Gurcharan Singh Tohra, but also serves to instil Sikh values and Ethics in the younger generation. The participation of the NSS volunteers demonstrated the University's dedication to fostering a culture of selfless service and social responsibility among its students.
