Desh Bhagat University School of Hotel Management & Tourism recently conducted an enriching industrial visit aimed at providing students with practical experience and insights into the hospitality and tourism sectors. The tour included a visit to Hotel Wythem Mohali (Punjab) which showcased the latest trends and practices in the industry. The tour began with a session by HR Manager Ms Gagandeep Kaur, Gaurav Training Manager explaining the history of the hotel group and the various facilities available at the hotel property. The students visited various departments of the hotel including restaurants, kitchens, guest rooms, bars, front desk etc. The heads of the departments briefed the students about the functioning of their respective sections and emerging trends. The students also had the opportunity to interact with industry professionals thereby gaining valuable knowledge about operational processes, customer service excellence and sustainable tourism practices. The visit included interactive sessions where students asked questions and participated in discussions about challenges and opportunities in the sector. The visit was coordinated by Director Dr. Aman Sharma, Chef Rinku Singh and Hrithik Tomar. Dr. Zora Singh Chancellor and Dr. Tajinder Kaur Pro-Chancellor DBU said that this industrial visit was a great opportunity for our students to bridge between theory and practice.
