DBU Department of Physiotherapy Welcomes New Students with Agaazh-E-Mehfil

The Department of Physiotherapy at Desh Bhagat University kicked off the new academic year with a vibrant and energetic Fresher Fiesta, welcoming its incoming batch of students. The event was a resounding success, bringing together students, faculty, and staff for an afternoon of fun, games, and camaraderie. The fresher's party provided an ideal platform for the new students to mingle with their seniors and get acquainted with the department's facilities and faculty.The BPT Fresher’s - 2024 was inaugurated by Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor and Dr.Tajinder Kaur, Pro Chancellor. The faculty and students of the Department of Physiotherapy welcomed the esteemed Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor and other dignitaries at the venue (Mahapragya Hall). The event began with the lamp lighting ceremony, DBU Anthem and Saraswati Vandna. Students show-cased their talent on the stage via- Indian semi-classical dance, Western dance, Punjabi cultural dance, Uttarakhand cultural dance, Shayari, and Choreography. These cultural activities were interspersed with interactive games for the audience such as balloon dance game, saree wearing competition for boys and balloon race. The main event for deciding Mr and Ms Fresher’s was the Ramp walk and Ms. Pawanjot Kaur and Mr. Prince were selected as the winners. The winners were crowned by Chancellor and Pro-Chancellor, which was followed by cake cutting ceremony and National Anthem. Students thoroughly enjoyed themselves during the event and on the Open DJ at the end of the ceremony. Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor said that we are thrilled to welcome our new students and look forward to seeing them grow into compassionate and skilled physiotherapists. He added that the Department of Physiotherapy at Desh Bhagat University is dedicated to providing high-quality education, research, and clinical training in physiotherapy. With state-of-the-art facilities and experienced faculty, the department aims to produce well-rounded professionals equipped to make a positive impact in the healthcare sector.
