The Placebo Club, under the Faculty of Pharmacy at Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, successfully organized National Pharmacy Week from 21th to 24th October 2024. The theme for this year’s celebration was "Vital Contributions of Pharmacists to Healthcare," aimed at highlighting the indispensable role of pharmacists in improving healthcare outcomes.The event aimed to raise awareness about the critical contributions of pharmacists to healthcare systems, emphasizing their role in patient care, medication management, and public health initiatives. National Pharmacy Week was packed with various activities to engage students, faculty, and healthcare professionals, focusing on the broader impact of the pharmacy profession on society. The event began with an inauguration ceremony, attended by esteemed guests, faculty members, and students. Dr. Puja Gulati, Principal and Professor, School of Pharmacy, delivered a keynote address highlighting the evolution of the pharmacy profession and its growing significance in global healthcare.The event was inaugurated by Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice President,Desh Bhagat University and the welcome address was given by Dr. Puja Gulati, Principal, School of Pharmacy, Khushpal , Principal, Mata Jarnail Kaur College of Pharmacy and Dr. Shailesh Kumar Gupta,Principal, S.Lal College of Pharmacy. Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tejinder Kaur congratulated Staff, students, and members of Placebo Club on the successful conduct of the event.
