The cold has not come yet but the visibility has reduced in many areas due to which the farmers are setting fire to the stubble in the fields. It is to be noted that policemen were seen extinguishing the fire set by the farmers after harvesting the paddy crop in Saideke Mohan village of Guruharshay and Arif village of Ferozepur yesterday.
Meanwhile, SPD Randhir Kumar appealed to the farmers not to burn stubble in the fields and said that according to the data obtained from the satellite, 150 cases of stubble burning have been registered so far, against which further action is being taken.
Along with this, a slight improvement was also seen in the pollution of Punjab today. Air pollution of most cities is less than 200. But the situation in Chandigarh is still worse. The average AQI here has crossed 200 to reach 206.
