Vibrations is a well known group in the City Beautiful which has a great contribution in the field of music and social work in Chandigarh under the guidance of Mr. Naresh Jacob. The group has produced lot of talented singers and musicians like Mannat Noor (Laung Lachhi Fame) a renowned singer of Bollywood, Dipesh Rahi, first runner up in the Voice of India Competition and Voice of Punjab on &TV, Poorvi Koutish, top fifth contestant of Indian Idol show, Komal Vashisth from Ambala State and National Award Winner besides upcoming sensational voice of Krishna Saware from Karnal. Vibrations promotes children from weaker section to come forward and show their hidden talent. Vibrations also helps the Glaucoma Support Group, Advance Eye Centre, PGI. Vibrations Group provides refreshments and organizes a musical evening to the special children as well as let them to participate in the musical evening at Missionary of Charity Mother Teresa Home, Sector 23, Chandigarh on 26th December every year. Vibrations also performed for the Army Staff on various occasions. They also work on Breast Cancer Awareness especially during this Annual show. This year this programme would also be performed in sign language for special children and other public.
“The Legends”, a musical evening which is the brain child of Mr Jagan Bains and it is a matchless commemoration to the “Magicians of Music” Mohammad Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Mukesh ji and more who added endless variety to Indian Film Music from sad lamentations to happy romantic songs.
Mr. Naresh Jacob (a well known singer known as Mukesh Jacob) & Mr Veval Sharma (elite music composer) are the founders of The Legends Musical Evening of “Vibrations Musical Group” in the city. They have come together in harvesting every emotion bestowed by charismatic team of musicians to form a mesmerizing musical nite. Every year people wait for this crisp musical night which has a quality of entertainment and a presence of a renowned personality of Bollywood.
Reverence of these marvels of singing will flow through melody of songs by nascent and amateur singers at Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh on 3rd December, 2023 from 5:00 pm onwards. Talent from economically weaker section and Govt. employees, the doctors who have knack for singing, is given an opportunity to exhibit their abilities on this platform.
Mr. Jagan Bains carries a great passion for singing and his inimitable efforts have made “The Legends”, a great success since last 13 years. People of city beautiful have witnessed several Bollywood celebrities of 70’s and 80’s like Ms. Sadhana Sargam famous Bollywood singer, Sh. Shailendra Singh famous Bollywood Singer in 2022, twice on the request of public Sh. Anandji - a music composer from Bollywood in 2016 & 2021, Ms. Bhagyashree famous Bollywood actress from Bollywood in 2019, Ms. Upasana Singh from Bollywood in 2018, Ms. Poonam Dhillon from Bollywood in 2017, Usha Timothy - a noted singer from Bollywood in 2015, Sh. Uttam Singh - a famous Bollywood Music Director in 2014, Sh. Amit Kumar S/o Shri Kishore Kumar - a noted singer in 2013, Sh. Suresh Wadekar - a famous singer in 2012, Moushumi Chatterjee - famous actress in 2011 and Late Shr. Ravi Shankar Sharma in 2010 had marked their valuable presence.
The programme will start by Dr. S. S. Pandav Prof Ophthalmology & Glaucoma expert PGI, Chandigarh by a presentation on prevention from Blindness and awareness on eye donation.
This year Mr. Shabbir Kumar, a famous Singer from Bollywood has consented to grace the occasion as special Celebrity Guest. Shabbir Kumar has started his music career in Baroda. His first high profile work was with one of India's leading orchestras, Melody Makers, which performed mainly in Pune and Mumbai. He later collaborated with other fans of Mohammed Rafi as a promoter for ‘Ek Shaam Rafi Ke Naam’, a show produced in Rafi Sahab’s honour. Music director Usha Khanna gave him a break in the film Tajurba (1981). Shabbir ji got a major break, when the director Manmohan Desai, who was looking for a Rafi substitute, noticed him and recommended him to music director duo Laxmikant–Pyarelal. Shabbir Kumar was first noted for a duet with Lata Mangeshkar, Shaam Hai Ye Kuch Khoyi Khoyi from Prem Tapasya (1983). Music director Anu Malik got him to sing for Rajiv Kapoor in his debut film Ek Jaan Hain Hum (1983). Shabbir Kumar was acknowledged as a leading playback singer with the film Betaab. Music director Rahul Dev Burman got him to sing all the five songs for Sunny Deol. Also, In 1983, Coolie was released, in which Laxmikant–Pyarelal had given him all the seven songs, six for Amitabh Bachchan, and one for Rishi Kapoor.
He has sung in different languages like Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Rajasthani, Gujarati, Haryanvi, Oriya, Malayalam and English. He is awarded with 34 Gold Discs, 16 Platinum, 1 Kohinoor Disc and also received a number of other awards. Mohammed Rafi Award" in Bombay first time ever in India, "Kalaa Ratan Award" from President of India Zail Singh as Best Playback Singer. His contributions to Music industry over 6 thousand songs and more than 1500 Films in his portfolio in incredible. He has performed several live concerts in UAE, Europe, South Africa, United States of America and many other places.
