The Faculty of Pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University, organized a two-day International Conference, "Innovation Nexus: Bridging Academia & Industry for Global Progress in Pharmaceutical Sciences," under the theme "Empowering Education with Professional Perspective." The event brought together leading academicians, researchers, and industry experts to discuss strategies for aligning education with industry demands.The inaugural session featured Ananya Gautam, former ADGP, Punjab Police, who emphasized the importance of research and collaboration for growth. He lauded the efforts of DBU, led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Abhijit H. Joshi, for fostering innovation through this event.
Esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Varinder Singh (Advisor to Chancellor) and Dr. Kulbhushan (Director, Desh Bhagat Ayurvedic College),Dr. Surjeet Patheja,Director Media, also graced the occasion.
Keynote speakers addressed diverse topics, including AI in pharmacy, the role of nanotechnology in drug delivery, and the importance of translational research in bridging academic and industrial gaps. Highlights included Dr. Suresh's insights on academic evolution, Dr. Rahul Deshmukh’s emphasis on industry-ready graduates, and Dr. Jyoti Dhankad's focus on accelerating research-to-market transitions.The conference featured technical sessions, poster presentations, and cultural events, concluding with a prize distribution ceremony.DBU Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tejinder Kaur, and Dr. Harsh Sadawarti Vice President,Desh Bhagat University congratulated the Faculty of Pharmacy for the successful event. Registrar Surinder Pal Kapoor highlighted the importance of innovation and global partnerships in his closing address, setting an inspiring tone for future initiatives.
