The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is working day and night for the development of the education infrastructure of the state, with which a large number of students studying in private schools are taking admission in government schools.
These views were expressed by the Information and Public Relations and Education Minister, Punjab, Harjot Singh Bains on the occasion of reviewing the ongoing development works at Mata Gujri School of Eminence, Fatehgarh Sahib. Education Minister, Bains said that about 03 crore 85 lakh rupees are being spent for the development of the school. He said that he had received a report that the development work of the school is going very slowly and today he has reviewed the development work of the school and a special meeting is also being called at the secretariat tomorrow to speed up the development work. The Cabinet Minister said that these works will be completed in the next 03 months. He said that with the efforts of the Punjab government, the number of students studying in this school has crossed 500 today. The Cabinet Minister said that the development works include shooting range, playground, renovation of the building, stage, toilet block, labs, ramp and work to give a modern look to the school. Under the next phase of development works, work to build a block of 10 new rooms and a wall around the playground will also be done.During this, the Cabinet Minister Bains reviewed the science fair organized at the school and interacted with the students. He said that there is a lot of talent among the students of the state, which the Punjab government is continuously working to identify and improve. On this occasion, the Cabinet Minister also reviewed the mid-day meal and bus service of the school. On this occasion, MLA Advocate Lakhbir Singh Rai said that no stone is being left unturned in the development of the education infrastructure of Fatehgarh Sahib constituency. He said that Mata Gujri School of Eminence, Fatehgarh Sahib will soon emerge as a model school of the state. On this occasion, the principal, teachers and a large number of students of the school were present.
