Rotary Club Sirhind has proudly launched its latest environmental initiative, the "Eco Warriors of Fatehgarh Sahib" project. This ambitious endeavor focuses on three critical pillars of environmental preservation: Waste Management, Water Conservation, and Tree Plantation. The project is specifically designed to educate and inspire school students to take active steps towards protecting the environment.
The inaugural session of this project was held at Rana Munshi Ram Sarvhitkari Vidya Mandir School, Sirhind, where a series of interactive and impactful activities were conducted. Students learned about the importance of reducing waste, conserving water, and planting trees to ensure a sustainable future. A pledge ceremony was also organized, where students and teachers committed themselves to preserving and protecting nature.
The initiative was spearheaded by Rtn. Dr. Hitender Suri, President of Rotary Club Sirhind, along with Rtn. Vineet Sharma, Secretary, Rtn. Sunil Bector, Treasurer, and Rtn. Banti Batra, who played key roles in bringing this project to life.
Speaking on the occasion, Rtn. Dr. Hitender Suri emphasized, "Environmental awareness among students is the foundation for a better tomorrow. By engaging young minds, we hope to instill a sense of responsibility and action to combat environmental challenges."The "Eco Warriors of Fatehgarh Sahib" project is planned to be implemented across all schools in the Fatehgarh Sahib district. Through a series of educational sessions, practical activities, and inter-school competitions, the Rotary Club aims to amplify awareness and encourage collective action for environmental conservation.
