DESH BHAGAT GLOBAL SCHOOL ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION

 

‘Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success and that is what we call 'Teamwork’. Under the glistening sun and the pleasant evening breeze, Desh Bhagat Global School, Mandi Gobindgarh welcomed one and all for the Annual Day Celebration with open arms and joyous hearts. At first, the special guest of the event Dr. Zora Singh Chancellor of DBU, Dr.Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, other esteemed guests Dr. Virinder Singh, Advisor to Chancellor and Dr.Harsh Sadavarti, Vice President of DBU respectively were given a thumping and resounding welcome by the principal, Ms. Indu Sharma, staff and students. The Auditorium was decorated with flowers and lighting celebrating the grand annual function of the School. The Stage and the function premises were beautifully decorated specifying the theme of the function, which resembled the name “Wings ....Ready to fly”. The function was inaugurated with the lightning of the lamp, with the hands of the chancellor and pro-chancellor, admirable vice president, Principal and other esteemed guests.The function began with an energetic DBU Anthem followed by Ganesh Vandana which gave a stunning beginning to the celebration. Talent is a gift that everyone is blessed with. The students of DBGS put on their dancing shoes and came to the floor, with their acting skills by performing various dance performances during the Cultural fiesta of the Annual day.

Following the welcome song, there were other dance performances and drama based on army soldiers' sacrifices performed by the students. The dance performances were very amazing.The parents enjoyed the different dance forms like hip-hop, Kalbelia, Retro, ghost dance, salsa.etc. The Annual school report is a crowning glory of any annual day event. The Head boy, Tanmay Arora presented the Annual School Report, with eloquence detailing in depth of, and about the school’s achievements in various Academic and Co-curricular events/sports and other disciplines, and also of the school’s future plans.‘Success is the result of perseverance and perfection’. The Students who excelled in academics were awarded by the special guest and other esteemed guests. Along with it, Anudeep also felicitated with FAP best teacher award for her dedication. Deeksha Thakur was felicitated with FAP Best Student Award in Painting and Sketching.The Chairman ,Dr. Zora Singh addressed the gathering and thanked all the parents for making this event successful with their cooperation and participation. The General secretary Dr Tajinder Kaur, also shared her views with the audience and appreciated the efforts of the principal,the students and staff for this successful event. At last, the rocking performance of Bhangra completely mesmerized the audience. To conclude this grand event, the national anthem was sung which was followed by a vote of thanks.
