The School of Nursing at Desh Bhagat University organized a solemn and spiritual ceremony, Path Shri Sukhmani Sahib, to honor the martyrdom of the Sahibzade of the 10th Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The event offered attendees a moment of reflection and reverence for the unparalleled sacrifice of the young martyrs.
The ceremony was graced by the university's esteemed leadership, including Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Sandeep Singh, President, Dr Virinder Singh, advisor to chancellor and Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice President.
In his address, Dr. Zora Singh emphasized the value of daily Simran (meditation) and praised the universal Sikh principle of “Sarbat da Bhala” (blessings for all). He reminded attendees of the transformative power of sincere prayers and their role in spreading positivity and harmony. Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur highlighted the need to embrace spiritual teachings in everyday life to uphold values of unity and peace.
Dr. Lovesampuranjot Kaur, Principal of the School of Nursing, and Dr. Prabhjot Singh, Head of the Department, shared insights into the significance of Gurbani and its profound messages of peace, sacrifice, and brotherhood.
The event also saw the presence of other prominent figures, including Dr. Surjeet Kaur Patheja, who joined in the prayers and reflected on the enduring legacy of the Sahibzade.
On this occasion, Dr. Kanwaljit Singh and Bibi Rajinder Kaur Mumbai captivated the audience with their soul-stirring renditions of Shabad Kirtan. The ceremony served as a reminder of the timeless teachings of Sikhism, fostering a sense of unity and spiritual devotion among attendees.
