In a collaborative effort to honor Constitution Day, Desh Bhagat University School of Pharmacy, S. Lal Singh College of Pharmacy, and Mata Jarnail Kaur College of Pharmacy organized a joint celebration under the theme “Celebrating Democracy and Constitutional Values.” This significant day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, commemorates the adoption of the Indian Constitution on November 26, 1949, and serves as a tribute to the visionary efforts of the Constituent Assembly.The event aimed to encourage citizens, especially the youth, to understand their rights and responsibilities while reaffirming their commitment to upholding constitutional values in the nation's functioning. Dr. Puja Gulati delivered an inspiring speech, urging students to draw lessons from the past and actively contribute to the development of the country.Students enthusiastically participated in various activities such as Slogan Writing and Poster Making, aimed at raising awareness about the Constitution's significance. The program also included educational seminars, discussions, and activities designed to highlight the importance of fundamental rights, duties, and the democratic framework established by the Constitution.The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Associate Professor of the School of Pharmacy.On this occasion Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor of DBU, Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor of DBU said that the event served as a poignant reminder of the collective responsibility to protect and preserve the ideals enshrined in the Constitution, ensuring a just and equitable society for all.
