The Centre for Internship and Social Outreach, Department of Education, Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, successfully organized a Life Skill Training and Career Counseling Program in GSSS Panjoli Kalan, GSSS Mata Gujri Fatehgarh Sahib, GSSS Kotla Bazwara, GSSS Badali Ala Singh, GSSS Sangatpur Sodhyian, GSSS Baghsikander, GSSS Kalour, GSSS Ghumandgarh. The initiative aimed to empower students with essential life skills and provide valuable career guidance, enabling them to make informed decisions about their future. Dr Gagandeep Tiwana, Centre coordinator shared that during the program, students were introduced to key life skills such as communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and stress management. Career counseling sessions provided insights into diverse career opportunities, fostering awareness about emerging fields and pathways aligned with students’ interests and aptitudes.The program was met with an enthusiastic response from students and teachers alike. Prncipals of the Schools expressed gratitude towards the University for this impactful initiative, emphasizing the importance of such programs in shaping students’ holistic development.Dr. Harneet Billing, Head of the education department reiterated the Department’s dedication to fostering community engagement and enhancing educational outreach in the region. Dr. Sukhwinder Singh Billing, Dean Academic Affairs reaffirmed the department’s commitment to community engagement and educational outreach. He highlights the dedication of the University towards nurturing the youth and fostering societal growth. Congratulating the department, Dr. Prit Pal Singh Vice Chancellor of the University said that Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University continues its mission to contribute to the educational and social welfare of the community, with this program serving as a significant milestone in its journey toward youth empowerment and development.
