RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala embraces a new zenith by securing an A+ grade in the third Cycle Accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The NAAC is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in India. During the accreditation process the institution was evaluated based on parameters such as Curricular Aspects, Teaching learning Processes, Research and Innovation, Infrastructure, Student Support and Progression, Governance, Leadership and Management along with Institutional Values and Best Practices. NAAC Peer team comprising of Prof. (Dr.) Rajeev Kumar Shukla (Chairperson), Prof. (Dr.) R. Jayachandran (Member Coordinator) and Dr. Bhaben Chandra Neog (Member) from reputed govt. institutions of India visited the campus from 19th to 20th February, 2025. Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla expressed her immense gratitude for the recognition and added that “securing an 'A+' grade in Cycle 3rd of NAAC accreditation with 3.33 CGPA is a matter of great pride for our esteemed institution, which is ceaselessly working for women empowerment and upliftment for the last six decades. She expressed her heartfelt felicitations to Padamshree Dr. Punam Suri Ji, President, DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi; Sh. Shiv Raman Gaur, Director Higher Education, DAVCMC, New Delhi; Sh. B.K. Mittal, Secretary, DAVCMC, New Delhi; Dr. Pawan Sharma (RO), DAVCMC, New Delhi; DHE Punjab, Govt. of India; Dr. Karamjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor, GNDU, Amritsar for their continuous support and guidance throughout the process. She further stated that our institution is the prominent and highest grade acquiring women institution in the entire region and this achievement is a reflection of the dedication and hard work of our IQAC team, faculty, staff, students who have consistently worked towards achieving this academic excellence. It also highlights our commitment to provide quality education, innovative practices, and holistic development of our students. IQAC coordinator Dr. Meenakshi Duggal also expressed gratitude to the Management, Principal, NAAC Coordinators Ms. Neetu Seth and Mr. Vinay Kumar, Faculty, Staff and Students for their whole-hearted support in the journey of quality assurance in all the domains.
