Desh Bhagat University Celebrates Navratri with Cultural Fervor and a Message of Empowerment

Desh Bhagat University’s Women Grievance Redressal Cell and Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), in collaboration with the university’s Hostel Boys and Girls, organized a vibrant Navratri Celebration at the university campus. The event served as a powerful fusion of cultural celebration and social awareness, aiming to promote gender equality, student engagement, and the empowerment of women through the festive spirit of Navratri. The festivities were inaugurated by the Pro-Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University Dr. Tajinder Kaur, alongside distinguished dignitaries including Dr. Precious Sheroan, Chairperson of the Women Grievance Redressal Cell, and Dr. Arti, a respected member of the ICC. The opening remarks also featured head warden Narinder Kaur, Paramjeet Kaur, and Satyam Sharma, who collectively highlighted the cultural and spiritual significance of Navratri, emphasizing its role in celebrating women’s strength and the broader message of empowerment. The highlight of the evening was the Garba and Dandiya Raas Night, where students, adorned in colorful traditional attire, danced to rhythmic beats in a lively and festive atmosphere. The campus came alive with folk music, traditional dance performances, and skits centered on themes of women’s strength, unity, and cultural pride. The event saw active participation from hostel residents, faculty members, and university staff, fostering a sense of unity and joy.
