The Photography Club of the Department of Education, Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, commemorated National Martyrs’ Day by organizing a Poster Exhibition to honor the sacrifices of India's freedom fighters. Curated by B.A. B.Ed. students from the 2022 and 2023 batches, the exhibition featured creative posters highlighting the struggles and contributions of national heroes through photography, sketches, and digital artwork. The event was coordinated by Ms. Gurwinder Kaur under the supervision of Dr. Harneet Billing, Head of the Department, who emphasized the importance of remembering martyrs and fostering patriotism among students. Dr. Sukhwinder Singh Billing, Dean Academic Affairs, commended the students for their artistic and historical representations, appreciating their efforts in creatively depicting significant moments from India's freedom struggle.Congratulating the department, Prof. (Dr.) Prit Pal Singh highlighted the role of such exhibitions in helping students connect with history and instilling a sense of patriotism.The exhibition successfully enhanced historical awareness, research skills, and artistic expression among students. The Department of Education aims to continue organizing such initiatives to promote experiential learning and social awareness.
