A ruckus of Kavadis has been seen in Fatehabad, Haryana. Here in Ratia on Tuesday morning, a group of Kawandis pelted stones at a school bus. During this time, the glass panes of the bus were broken with bricks and anyone who came in the way was also pelted with stones. Later the team moved ahead from the spot. On the other hand, angry school bus drivers blocked the spot by crisscrossing the bus.

At present, Ratia police is trying to convince the drivers on the spot. It is being told that when this incident happened, children were also traveling in the school van, who narrowly escaped.

Haryana Civil Medical Services Association President Dr. Rajesh Khayalia said that the strike was called off after a meeting between representatives of the protesting doctors and Amit Agarwal, Additional Principal Secretary to the Haryana Chief Minister, late on Friday night. He said that the government has accepted the demands of the doctors and has assured to implement them before August 15.

A five-year-old boy drowned in a swimming pool of the BPTP Park Serene Society in Gurugram's Sector-37D, police said on Thursday.

The incident occurred when the child, Mivansh Singla, got into the swimming pool on Wednesday evening around 6.30 p.m.

A resident alleged that the lifeguard was also present on the spot but did not pay attention and the child drowned. The child was immediately taken to the Signature Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The victim’s father, Binny Singla, is an employee of Maruti Company and lives with his wife and children in Tower-J of the society.

A 50-year-old man has been arrested from Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday on the charges of raping a three-year-old girl in Gurugram's Rithoj village, police said.

The accused was identified as Ratan, a native of Madhya Pradesh, who was carrying a bounty of Rs 50,000 on his head.

Ratan had previously served ten years jail term for raping a five-year-old girl in Madhya Pradesh in 2005.

The accused, who was released from jail in 2015, sodomised the six-year-old boy in March, this year in Madhya Pradesh.

Retired soldier kills five family members in Haryana

An ex-serviceman killed five members of his family by slitting their throats with a sharp-edged weapon in Haryana’s Ambala district, police said on Monday.

The deceased comprised his mother, brother, sister-in-law and two children. Two injured have been admitted to hospitals.

After the crime, the accused tried to cremate them at midnight when the police reached the spot and recovered the half-burnt bodies. The retired soldier, however, managed to flee from the spot.

The crime was reported in the Narayangarh area over a dispute over two acres of land. The victims were identified as 35-year-old Harish, his 32-year-old wife Sonia, his 65-year-old mother Saropi, five-year-old daughter and six-month-old son.

A property dealer was shot while his friend was severely beaten when they were assaulted by a group of people following a money-related brawl in Gurugram, police said.

The police said the incident was reported on Tuesday when the victims -- identified as Rajkumar Sehrawat a resident of New Colony and his friend Sachin Gulati had come to meet Sehrawat's friend at his office located on Dwarka Expressway.

In which a constable traveling in the vehicle was injured while the rest of the security personnel narrowly escaped. It is being told that the Minister of State was going from Chandigarh to Mahendragarh. When he reached village Sainsa in Pehowa area on the National Highway, the escort vehicle included in his convoy suddenly got a tire burst, due to which it met with an accident. There was a team of four soldiers in the vehicle along with escort in-charge Vedpal. As soon as the accident occurred, the convoy stopped and the injured Havildar Sanjeev Kumar was immediately taken to the Civil Hospital of Pehowa, from where he was referred to Kurukshetra. It is being told that after the accident, the Minister of State canceled his plan to go to Mahendragarh and he stayed there till the security personnel were sent to the hospital.
