The route of the trains coming on this route has been changed for now.

With an aim to strengthen full-proof security here in Gurugram, the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) will install 10,000 smart cameras across the city in the third phase of the CCTV surveillance project, officials said.

Under this, 400 km of road will be covered and about Rs 422 crore will be spent on this project.

Gurgaon Police has busted a call center that was cheating unemployed people of lakhs of rupees in the name of getting jobs abroad. The accused used to take a salary of Rs 18,000 from the fake call center in exchange for duping lakhs of rupees from the unemployed. Police have arrested eight people including four girls in this case.

The accused have been identified as Delhi residents Narendra Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Kajal, Ranjan Kumar, Jind resident Vikrant Singh, Azamgarh resident Garima Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh resident Agnes Franesh and Ganganagar Rajasthan resident Sahil Poonia. During preliminary interrogation, the accused told that he used to run a website in the name of International Job Solution and used to contact job applicants through the profiles on Shine.com.

The Haryana government has earned Rs 1,756 crore from the auction of 162 liquor shops in the East and West zone via e-tenders in Gurugram, officials said. According to the New Excise Policy, online tenders were opened on Wednesday for 162 shops in the East and West Zones. The East area is an upscale locality of the city. Earlier, the officials said that there were a total of 69 sectors in the East Zone which have now been reduced to 40. They said that liquor traders can now open four liquor shops in one zone.

In an unprecedented move, seven Assistant Engineers (AE) of the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) have been fined Rs 35,000 each for dereliction of duties. According to the order issued by the Additional commissioner of the MCG, Balpreet Singh, on May 6, wherein it was directed to perform duties as per the roaster at Bandhwari Landfill Site to enhance monitoring and response mechanism to ensure the safety and environmental integrity of the area round the clock.
