Malvinder Kang replied to Raja Warring and Sunil Jakhar on law and order

July 08, 2024

Chandigarh, July 8

Responding to Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and the BJP Punjab President Sunil Jakhar about law and order, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab said that both of the leaders have no right to speak on the issue of law and order. Their party's previous governments have patronized gangsters in Punjab.

On Monday, Aam Aadmi Party Punjab's chief spokesperson and MP Malvinder Singh Kang said that during the BJP-Akali and Congress governments, gangsters were given government protection in Punjab. The Mann government is continuously taking action against them and sending them to jail. During the last two years, action has been taken against hundreds of criminals and they have been punished.

He said that during the previous governments, some people in power selectively encouraged the youth to commit crimes and used to say that you commit crimes openly, we are in the government to protect you. Whereas in the Mann government, if any criminal incident takes place, its investigation starts immediately and the accused are arrested.

Kang cornered Punjab BJP chief Sunil Jakhar and said that your party BJP is in power in the neighbouring state of Haryana. No action has been taken on the reprehensible incident that happened there a few days ago. Why don't you question the Haryana government on this matter? He said that Haryana is now known as a state that produces gangsters.

Kang said that any incident of crime, wherever it may be, is unfortunate. It cannot be supported or defended, but doing politics in its name is even more unfortunate. This act is equally reprehensible.
